    • Remove the decorative caps from the toilet base bolts, then loosen and remove the nuts.
    • Carefully lift and remove the toilet from the flange. Place it on a protected surface.
    • Scrape off any old wax ring material from the existing flange and the bottom of the toilet. Clean the area thoroughly.
  2. Assess the Existing Flange:

Inspect the existing toilet flange. The PP835-56 is designed to repair a cracked or broken flange by providing new anchor points. It does not replace the entire flange but reinforces it.

  3. Position the Anchor Flange:

Place the Plumb Pak PP835-56 anchor flange over the existing damaged flange, aligning its bolt slots with the desired toilet bolt positions. The anchor flange should bridge the cracked or broken sections of the original flange, providing a stable surface for the toilet bolts.

  4. Secure the Anchor Flange:

Using the provided screws, secure the anchor flange to the subfloor through the designated screw holes. Ensure the flange is firmly attached and level. If the existing subfloor is damaged, use appropriate anchors or repair the subfloor before securing the flange.

  5. Install Toilet Bolts:

Insert new toilet bolts into the slots of the anchor flange. Position them correctly for your toilet's base. Ensure the bolts are upright and stable.

  6. Install New Wax Ring:

Place a new wax ring (or rubber gasket) over the anchor flange, ensuring it is centered around the drain opening.

  7. Reinstall the Toilet:
    • Carefully lower the toilet onto the wax ring and over the toilet bolts. Ensure the toilet base is level and the bolts pass through the holes in the toilet base.
    • Press down firmly and evenly on the toilet bowl to compress the wax ring and create a watertight seal. Do not rock the toilet.
    • Place washers and nuts onto the toilet bolts. Pataki: Tighten the nuts gradually and alternately, ensuring not to overtighten. Overtightening can crack the toilet base or damage the flange. The goal is a snug fit that prevents rocking, not extreme compression. If bolts spin, hold them from below with pliers while tightening the nut.
    • Install the decorative caps over the bolts.
  8. Reconnect Water Supply:

Reconnect the water supply line to the toilet tank. Slowly turn on the water supply valve and check for leaks around the supply line connection and the toilet base.

  9. Idanwo fun Leaks:

Flush the toilet several times to ensure proper function and check for any leaks around the base. If leaks occur, re-evaluate the wax ring and bolt tightness.
