Schock Drain and Overflow Fitting for TYPOS D-150S Sink

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Schock Drain and Overflow Fitting, specifically designed for the Schock TYPOS D-150S built-in sink.

This fitting includes a rotary eccentric mechanism with a Bowden cable for remote waste operation. Please read these instructions carefully before installation to ensure proper function and longevity of the product.

This drain and overflow fitting is specifically designed for the following Schock built-in sink model:

  • Schock TYPOS D-150S

The complete waste fitting is only suitable for TYPOS D-150S sinks manufactured from March 2013 (03/2013) onwards. For sink series manufactured up to February 2013 (02/2013), it is essential to replace all existing built-in parts with the components provided in this new waste fitting kit to ensure proper compatibility and function.

  1. Main Drain Assembly: Install the main drain body into the larger sink opening. Ensure proper sealing with gaskets provided. Tighten the securing nut from underneath the sink.
  2. Apọju Isopọ: Connect the overflow pipe from the overflow opening in the sink basin to the designated inlet on the main drain body. Secure all connections to prevent leaks.
  3. Secondary Basin Sisan: For sinks with a half basin, install the smaller basket strainer into the secondary basin opening. Connect it to the main drain assembly using the provided piping.
  4. Rotary Eccentric Mechanism:
    • Mount the rotary eccentric control mechanism onto the designated hole on the sink surface.
    • Connect the Bowden cable from the control mechanism to the lever on the main drain basket strainer. Ensure the cable moves freely and operates the strainer plug smoothly.
    • Install the chrome rotary knob and cover plate onto the control mechanism.
  5. Connecting to Siphon (Not Included): Attach your existing or new siphon (odor trap) to the outlet of the main drain assembly. Ensure all connections are watertight.

After installation, slowly turn on the water supply and fill the sink. Carefully inspect all connections for any signs of leaks. If leaks are detected, tighten the connections as necessary. Do not overtighten.

The Schock Drain and Overflow Fitting features a remote waste operation via the rotary eccentric mechanism.

  • Láti Ti Pa Ìṣàn Omi Pa: Rotate the chrome knob on the sink surface clockwise until the basket strainer plug closes, sealing the drain.
  • Láti Ṣí Ìṣàn Omi: Rotate the chrome knob counter-clockwise until the basket strainer plug lifts, allowing water to drain.

The overflow function will automatically engage if the water level in the sink rises above the overflow opening, preventing spills.

6. Itọju

Regular maintenance will ensure the longevity and proper function of your drain and overflow fitting.

  • Ninu: Clean the chrome surfaces of the rotary knob and cover plate with a soft cloth and mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive sponges, which can damage the finish.
  • Basket Strainer: Periodically remove the basket strainer from the main drain and clean any food debris or particles to prevent blockages.
  • Ṣayẹwo USB: Occasionally check the Bowden cable for smooth operation. If it feels stiff, a small amount of silicone lubricant can be applied to the cable housing, if accessible.
