Dinuy DM.Tec.002 Recessed Ceiling Motion Detector User Manual

Model: DM.Tec.002

1. Ifihan

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Dinuy DM.Tec.002 Recessed Ceiling Motion Detector. This device utilizes Passive Infrared (PIR) technology to detect movement within its coverage area, automatically controlling connected lighting or other electrical loads through its two independent output channels. It is designed for recessed installation in ceilings.

The Dinuy DM.Tec.002 consists of two main components: a control unit and a sensor unit. The control unit houses the electrical connections and relay, while the sensor unit contains the PIR lens and adjustment potentiometers for LUX (light sensitivity) and TIME (detection duration).

Image 1: Dinuy DM.Tec.002 Motion Detector. This image displays the two primary components of the Dinuy DM.Tec.002 motion detector. The upper part shows the control unit, a rectangular white box with electrical specifications and wiring terminals (L, N, D1, D2, L'). The lower part shows the circular recessed sensor unit, featuring a domed PIR lens and two adjustment potentiometers labeled "LUX" and "TIME" with corresponding up/down arrows.

Awọn ẹya pataki:

  • Imọ-ẹrọ PIR: Detects movement by sensing infrared radiation changes.
  • 360° Ibo: Wide detection angle for comprehensive area monitoring.
  • 2 Output Channels: Allows control of two separate loads.
  • Adjustable LUX Level: Configures the ambient light threshold for activation.
  • Idaduro akoko ti o le ṣatunṣe: Sets how long the load remains active after detection.
  • Ifamọ ti o le ṣatunṣe: Detection sensitivity can be fine-tuned (requires EM MAN DM0 remote, sold separately).
  • Zero-Crossing Switching: Extends relay life by switching at the zero-crossing point of the AC cycle.
  • Universal Load Compatibility: Suitable for LED, fluorescent, and incandescent lamps.

4. Eto ati fifi sori

The Dinuy DM.Tec.002 is designed for recessed ceiling installation. Ensure the installation location provides optimal coverage and avoids obstructions.

4.1. Ibi fifi sori ẹrọ:

  • Mount at a height of approximately 2.5 meters for optimal 360° coverage up to a diameter of 7 meters.
  • Avoid placing near heat sources (e.g., vents, radiators) or in areas with rapid air currents, which can cause false detections.
  • Ensure the sensor has a clear line of sight to the detection area.

4.2. Aworan aworan:

Refer to the markings on the control unit for correct wiring. The device operates on a 230V~ 50Hz supply.

  • L: Live input (Phase)
  • N: Idawọle didoju
  • L': Switched Live output for Channel 1
  • D1: Output for Channel 1 (e.g., lighting)
  • D2: Output for Channel 2 (e.g., ventilation, secondary lighting)
  • Connect the sensor unit to the control unit via the designated "SENSOR" port.

Ensure all connections are secure and insulated. Incorrect wiring can damage the device or pose a safety hazard.

5. Awọn ilana Iṣiṣẹ

Once installed and powered, the detector will begin operation. Adjustments can be made using the potentiometers on the sensor unit.

5.1. LUX Adjustment (Light Sensitivity):

The "LUX" potentiometer controls the ambient light level at which the detector will activate. Turn the potentiometer:

  • Towards the oorun aami (higher LUX value) for activation only in brighter conditions (e.g., during the day).
  • Towards the moon symbol (lower LUX value) for activation in darker conditions (e.g., at night or in dimly lit areas).

Set the LUX level to your desired threshold. For testing, set it to the maximum (sun symbol) to ensure it activates regardless of ambient light.

5.2. TIME Adjustment (Time Delay):

The "TIME" potentiometer sets the duration the connected load remains ON after the last detected movement. Turn the potentiometer:

  • Si ọna "+" for a longer time delay.
  • Si ọna "-" for a shorter time delay.

Adjust the time delay according to the application's requirements. Typical settings range from a few seconds to several minutes.

5.3. Isakoṣo latọna jijin (Aṣayan):

The detection sensitivity and other advanced parameters can be adjusted using the Dinuy EM MAN DM0 remote control (sold separately). Refer to the EM MAN DM0 manual for specific instructions on its use.

6. Itọju

The Dinuy DM.Tec.002 motion detector requires minimal maintenance.

  • Ninu: Gently wipe the sensor lens with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or smudges. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ayewo: Periodically check for any visible damage to the sensor or wiring.
  • Ẹrọ naa ko ni awọn ẹya ti o le ṣe iṣẹ olumulo.

7. Laasigbotitusita

If the motion detector is not functioning as expected, try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • No Detection/Load Not Activating:
    • Check if power is supplied to the device.
    • Verify wiring connections are correct and secure.
    • Adjust the LUX setting to a lower value (moon symbol) to ensure activation in current light conditions.
    • Ensure there are no obstructions blocking the sensor's view.
    • Test the detection range by walking through the coverage area.
  • Load Always ON/Not Turning OFF:
    • Check if there is continuous movement within the detection area.
    • Adjust the TIME setting to a shorter duration.
    • Ensure the LUX setting is not too low, causing it to activate even in sufficient ambient light.
    • Verify that the load connected does not exceed the maximum capacity (see Specifications).
  • Awọn Iwari eke:
    • Relocate the sensor away from heat sources, air vents, or areas with strong drafts.
    • Adjust the detection sensitivity (if using EM MAN DM0 remote) to a lower level.

If problems persist after performing these checks, contact a qualified electrician or Dinuy customer support.
