Using the Beta Lock (Secondary Lock)
The M121 features a secondary "beta lock" mechanism designed to prevent accidental disengagement of the framelock. To activate, slide the small lever located on the framelock bar towards the blade. To deactivate, slide it away from the blade. This feature provides an additional layer of security when the knife is open and in use.
