This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, installation, and maintenance of your Summit Appliance ARS49ML Pharma-Vac Performance Series Refrigerator. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the appliance and retain it for future reference.

The ARS49ML is a 49 cu.ft. upright pharmacy all-refrigerator designed for demanding life science, vaccine, laboratory, and medical cold storage applications, ensuring precise temperature control and stability.

4.1 Ipo

Choose a location with a strong, level floor capable of supporting the refrigerator's weight (410 lbs. empty, plus contents). Ensure adequate air circulation around the unit. Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources. Maintain at least 4 inches of clearance from walls at the back and sides for proper ventilation.

4.2 Ipele ipele

The refrigerator is equipped with wheels for easy movement. Once in its final position, ensure the unit is level to prevent door misalignment and ensure proper operation. Use a level and adjust the leveling feet (if present, or use shims under wheels if necessary) until the appliance is stable and level.

4.3 Itanna Asopọ

Before plugging in the appliance, ensure the electrical supply matches the specifications: 115V AC/60Hz, 7.5 Amps. The appliance must be properly grounded to reduce the risk of electrical shock. Do not use extension cords or ungrounded adapters.

4.4 Ibẹrẹ Ibẹrẹ

After installation, allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in. This allows the refrigerant to settle. Once plugged in, allow the unit to operate empty for several hours (e.g., 24 hours) to reach its stable operating temperature before loading products.

5.1 Digital Temperature Controller

The ARS49ML features an intelligent microprocessor digital temperature controller. The operating control range is adjustable from +2°C to +10°C (+35.6°F to +50°F).

  • Ifihan otutu: The digital display shows the current internal temperature. It can be viewed in Celsius or Fahrenheit to the nearest degree.
  • Ìwọ̀n Kekere/O pọju: The controller tracks and displays the minimum and maximum temperatures recorded, updated in 15-minute increments. Consult the controller's specific instructions for accessing min/max readings.
  • Iwadi otutu: A separate temperature probe provides continuous product readout for improved accuracy. An additional sensor reads interior air temperature for superior control.

5.2 Atunṣe iwọn otutu

Refer to the specific instructions provided with the digital controller for detailed steps on how to adjust the set temperature. Generally, this involves pressing a 'SET' button and using arrow keys to increase or decrease the desired temperature.

The unit is equipped with audible and visual alarms for high/low temperature excursions. If an alarm sounds, check the temperature display and take appropriate action to correct the issue. Consult the controller's manual for alarm silencing and reset procedures.

5.4 Forced Air Cooling

The optimized forced air cooling system ensures excellent temperature stability and uniformity throughout the cabinet. This system also facilitates rapid temperature recovery after door openings and product loading, minimizing temperature fluctuations.

When loading products, distribute them evenly on the wire shelves to allow for proper air circulation. Avoid blocking the air vents. The adjustable shelves allow for flexible storage configurations.

6. Itọju

6.1 Ninu

Regular cleaning of your refrigerator will help maintain its appearance and efficiency. Always unplug the unit before cleaning.

  • Inu inu: Clean the interior surfaces and wire shelves with a mild detergent and warm water solution. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or sharp objects.
  • Òde: Wipe down the stainless steel exterior with a soft cloth and a stainless steel cleaner or mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the finish.
  • Condenser Coils: Periodically clean the condenser coils (located at the bottom/rear of the unit) to ensure efficient operation. Use a vacuum cleaner or brush to remove dust and debris.

6.2 Defrosting

The ARS49ML features an automatic defrost system. This means that frost buildup on the evaporator coils is periodically melted and drained, eliminating the need for manual defrosting. Ensure the drain pan is clear and not obstructed.
