Driver requirements vary by operating system:
- Windows 10, Windows 11, Mac OS, and Linux: No drivers are required. The card is plug-and-play.
- Windows 7 (32/64 bit): A driver installation is required. Please download the necessary driver from the official Inateck webojula.
After installation, it is recommended to check Device Manager (Windows) or System Information (Mac/Linux) to confirm that the card is recognized and functioning correctly.

6. Awọn ilana Iṣiṣẹ
Once installed and drivers (if needed) are in place, the Inateck RedComets U22 card functions as a standard USB hub. Connect your USB devices to the available Type-A or Type-C ports.
- Gbigbe Data: For optimal 10Gbps transfer speeds, ensure your connected device and USB cable also support USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps).
- Bandwidth Distribution: The card has a total bandwidth of 16Gbps. This bandwidth is intelligently distributed among the ports. Specifically, one USB Type-C port and three USB Type-A ports share 10Gbps, while the remaining four ports share another 10Gbps. When multiple devices are connected to ports within the same shared bandwidth group, the speed will be distributed among them.
- Ijade agbara: Use the USB Type-C ports for devices requiring up to 15W of power, and USB Type-A ports for devices requiring up to 5W.
7. Ibamu
The Inateck RedComets U22 card is designed for broad compatibility:
- Awọn ọna ṣiṣe: Compatible with Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7 (32/64 bit), Mac OS 10.8.2 and above, and Linux.
- PCIe Standards: Supports PCIe 2.0, PCIe 3.0, and PCIe 4.0.
- PCIe Iho: Works with PCIe x4, x8, and x16 slots.
Important Note on PCIe Bandwidth:
The actual speed of a PCIe interface may be lower than its theoretical maximum because PCIe interfaces share a total speed from the CPU. For example, if a motherboard has 16 lanes and two x16 PCIe interfaces that support PCIe 3.0 are in use simultaneously, the lanes allocated to each port will be evenly split to x8, resulting in a maximum bandwidth of 64 Gbps per slot instead of the theoretical 128 Gbps. Always ensure your motherboard's PCIe configuration and other installed devices do not excessively limit the available bandwidth for the Inateck card.
8. Laasigbotitusita
Issue: Cannot achieve 10Gbps or 16Gbps data transfer speeds.
If you are experiencing lower than expected data transfer speeds, consider the following:
- Motherboard PCIe Interface:
- Verify that your motherboard's PCIe interface protocol is PCIe 3.0 or above.
- Ensure that the lanes allocated to the PCIe interface where the card is installed are x4 or more. Note that a PCIe x4 interface might operate at x2 or x1 lanes depending on motherboard configuration.
- Be aware that when multiple PCIe interfaces are in use, the actual transmission speed for each interface may be lower than its theoretical value due to shared lanes.
- Connected Device and Cable:
- Confirm that the device connected to the PCIe card supports a 10Gbps bandwidth. Consult the device supplier if unsure.
- Check if your USB cable supports 10Gbps bandwidth. Generally, cables supporting 10Gbps are shorter (less than one meter is often recommended for optimal performance) and may be of higher quality/cost than standard cables. Consult the cable supplier for specifications.
- Simultaneous Port Usage:
- The total bandwidth of the 8 ports on the PCIe card is 16Gbps.
- Remember that one USB Type-C port and three USB Type-A ports share a 10Gbps rate, and the remaining four ports share another 10Gbps bandwidth. If multiple high-bandwidth devices are used simultaneously within the same group, the bandwidth will be shared, potentially reducing individual device speeds. The card intelligently allocates bandwidth.
Issue: Physical fitment of the bracket.
Some users have reported issues with the bracket alignment preventing USB cables from connecting or securing the card properly. Ensure the bracket is correctly aligned and secured. If necessary, use the provided low-profile bracket. In rare cases, minor adjustments to the case or bracket might be needed, but this should be approached with caution to avoid damaging components.
