Carefully remove the Nebula Touchscreen Computer from its packaging. Inspect the device for any signs of damage during transit. Retain all packaging materials for future transport or service needs.

  • Wi-Fi: Navigate to Android Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi. Select your desired network and enter the password if prompted.

1.5 Peripheral Attachment

The Nebula device is designed to integrate with various optional peripherals such as RFID/NFC readers and barcode scanners. These modules attach to the edges of the tablet. Refer to the specific peripheral's manual for detailed attachment and configuration instructions.

2.1 Agbara Tan / Pa

  • Agbara Tan: Connect the power adapter. The device will typically power on automatically. If not, press the power button.
  • Agbara Pa: Press and hold the power button until a power menu appears on the screen. Select 'Power off'. Alternatively, you can unplug the power adapter, but this is not recommended for regular shutdown.

The pre-installed STAROS Kiosk Lockdown App allows you to restrict device usage to specific applications or web pages, preventing unauthorized access. This is ideal for public-facing kiosks.

To configure STAROS, access the settings menu within the app. This typically requires an administrator password. Refer to the STAROS documentation for detailed configuration steps.

2.5 Star Control Mobile Device Management (MDM)

Your device includes a 1-year subscription to Star Control MDM. This platform allows for remote management of multiple devices, including application deployment, security policies, and device monitoring. Access to the Star Control MDM portal will be provided separately upon subscription activation.
