  • This device is intended for detecting combustible gas leaks. It is not a substitute for professional gas leak detection services or safety equipment.
  • Do not use the detector in environments with extremely high gas concentrations, as this may pose an explosion risk.
  • Ensure proper ventilation when investigating a suspected gas leak.

4.1 Power On and Calibration

4.3 Locating a Leak Source

  1. Slowly move the sensor tip of the detector close to suspected leak areas (e.g., gas pipes, appliance connections, valves).
  2. The device has a quick response time of 0.5 si 3 aaya.
  3. Upon detecting gas, the detector will trigger both visual and audible alarms.
  4. Awọn five red LED indicators will light up, and a 75 dB audible alarm will sound. Both the visual and audible alarms will intensify as the gas concentration increases, helping you pinpoint the leak source.

4.4 Sensitivity Modes

The PT177 offers two sensitivity modes:

  • High Sensitivity (Hi): Detects gas concentrations between 50-500 ppm. Use this mode for detecting very small leaks or when the leak source is difficult to locate.
  • Low Sensitivity (Lo): Detects gas concentrations between 500-1,000 ppm. Use this mode for larger leaks or to quickly confirm the presence of gas.
