1. Ifihan

Thank you for choosing the Zebra PL-220 Thermal Laminator. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your laminator. Please read it thoroughly before use and keep it for future reference. The PL-220 is designed for laminating documents up to letter/legal size, offering robust performance for various office and personal needs.

5.1 Thermal Lamination (Hot)

  1. Agbara Tan: Flip the ON/OFF switch to 'ON'. The red POWER indicator will light up.
  2. Yan Ipo: Set the HOT/COLD switch to 'HOT'.
  3. Ṣeto iwọn otutu: Rotate the TEMP °C dial to the appropriate temperature for your laminating pouch thickness. Refer to the table below for recommended settings.
  4. Gbona: Allow 2 to 3 minutes for the machine to preheat. The green READY indicator will light up when the selected temperature is reached.
  5. Múra Ìwé: Place your document inside a laminating pouch, ensuring it is centered and there is an even border around the document.
  6. Laminate: Insert the sealed edge of the laminating pouch squarely into the entry slot. The machine will automatically feed the pouch through. Do not pull or push the pouch.
  7. Fara bale: Once the pouch exits the machine, place it on a flat surface to cool and harden.
  8. Agbara Pa: After use, turn the ON/OFF switch to 'OFF' and unplug the machine.

5.2 Recommended Temperature Settings

The optimal temperature depends on the thickness of your laminating pouch. Using a carrier is recommended for thinner pouches or delicate documents to prevent adhesive bleed and ensure smooth feeding.

5.3 Cold Lamination

For heat-sensitive documents or self-adhesive pouches, use the cold lamination setting.

  1. Agbara Tan: Flip the ON/OFF switch to 'ON'.
  2. Yan Ipo: Set the HOT/COLD switch to 'COLD'.
  3. Múra Ìwé: Place your document inside a cold laminating pouch.
  4. Laminate: Insert the sealed edge of the pouch squarely into the entry slot. The machine will feed it through using pressure.
  5. Agbara Pa: After use, turn the ON/OFF switch to 'OFF' and unplug the machine.

5.4 Reverse Function

If a laminating pouch is misfed or begins to jam, immediately flip the FORWARD/REVERSE switch to 'REVERSE' to eject the pouch. Once the pouch is clear, return the switch to 'FORWARD' or 'OFF'.
