The CorDx Tyfast At Home Flu A/B and COVID-19 Multiplex Rapid Test is designed for the qualitative detection of influenza A and B nucleoprotein antigens and SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein antigens from direct anterior nasal swab specimens. This test is intended for use as an aid in the diagnosis of influenza A and B and COVID-19. Results are available in just 10 minutes.

This product is authorized for use in the United States under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).

Before you begin, ensure you have a clean, flat surface and all kit components are at room temperature.

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  2. Open the foil pouch containing the test cassette just before use. Place the cassette on a clean, flat surface.

Operating Instructions: Performing the Test

Follow these steps carefully to perform the test:

  1. Gba Sample: Carefully remove the nasal swab from its packaging. Insert the entire soft tip of the swab into your left nostril about 0.5 to 1 inch until resistance is met. Firmly rub the swab in a circular motion against the inside of your nostril 5 times. Using the same swab, repeat the process in your right nostril 5 times.
  2. Mura Sample: Immediately insert the swab tip into the sample collection tube. Swirl the swab vigorously in the liquid for at least 10 seconds, pressing the tip against the bottom and sides of the tube.
  3. Extract Sample: While squeezing the tube, remove the swab. Dispose of the swab in a biohazard bag or sealed plastic bag. Securely close the cap of the sample gbigba tube.

  5. Wait for Results: Set a timer for 10 minutes. Do not read the results before 10 minutes or after 15 minutes.

Interpret your test results between 10 and 15 minutes after adding the drops to the cassette. Do not interpret results after 15 minutes as they may be inaccurate.

A positive result is indicated by the presence of the Control line (C) and one or more of the test lines (COV, Flu B, Flu A). Even a faint line should be considered a positive result.

  • COVID-19 Positive: Control line (C) and COVID line (COV) appear.
  • Flu A Positive: Control line (C) and Flu A line appear.
  • Flu B Positive: Control line (C) and Flu B line appear.
  • Combinations of Flu A, Flu B, and COVID-19 positive results are also possible, indicated by the respective lines appearing along with the Control line.

A negative result is indicated by the presence of only the Control line (C). No other lines (COV, Flu B, Flu A) appear.

An invalid result occurs if the Control line (C) is not visible. This means the test did not run correctly. Discard the test and repeat with a new kit, ensuring all steps are followed precisely.

  • Store the test kits in their original sealed pouches at room temperature (36-86°F / 2-30°C) until the expiration date printed on the packaging.
  • Do not freeze the test kits.
  • Once the foil pouch is opened, the test cassette should be used immediately.
  • Dispose of used test components in accordance with local regulations for biohazardous waste.
