The CalDigit E5 Thunderbolt 5 Element 5 Hub is a compact and powerful connectivity solution designed to expand the capabilities of your computer. It provides multiple high-speed ports for data transfer, display connectivity, and power delivery, enhancing your workflow and desktop setup.

Connect the provided 180W power supply to the DC In port (20V | 9A) on the rear of the Element 5 Hub. Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.

4.2 Performance and Bandwidth

The Element 5 Hub leverages Thunderbolt 5 technology to provide exceptional performance. It offers 80Gb/s bandwidth across its Thunderbolt 5 ports. When connecting bandwidth-intensive displays, the hub can enable Igbelaruge bandiwidi, allocating up to 120Gb/s for displays while reserving 40Gb/s for other devices. This feature requires a compatible Thunderbolt 5 Mac or PC.

4.3 Ifihan Support

The Element 5 Hub supports various display configurations depending on your host computer's capabilities:

  • MacOS: Connect up to dual 6K@60Hz or 8K@60Hz displays, or dual 4K@240Hz displays on Macs that support these resolutions. Note: Base M1-M3 Macs do not support dual external displays.
  • Windows: Connect up to three 4K@144Hz displays on compatible Windows Thunderbolt 5 host computers. Triple displays are not supported on macOS, Thunderbolt 4/3, or USB-C PCs.

The Element 5 Hub provides up to 90W of sustained power delivery to your host laptop, tablet, or phone. Each downstream Thunderbolt 5/USB4 v2 port provides 15W (5V/3A), and each USB-A/USB-C port provides 7.5W (5V/1.5A). The hub also supports Offline Charging, allowing you to charge devices even when not connected to a host computer.

*Thunderbolt 5 or USB4 v2 is required for unrestricted functionality of the Element 5 Hub.
