5.1 Time Range Selection

The device offers 10 time ranges, selectable via the top rotary switch. The ranges span from 0.1 seconds to 10 days.

  • 10s (0.1s - 10s)
  • 1m (0.1m - 10m)
  • 10m (0.1m - 10m)
  • 1h (0.1h - 10h)
  • 10h (0.1h - 10h)
  • 1d (0.1d - 10d)
  • 10d (0.1d - 10d)
  • ON (Continuous ON)
  • OFF (Continuous OFF)

5.2 Time Percentage Eto

The middle rotary switch allows for fine-tuning the time within the selected range, from 10% to 100% of the maximum value of the chosen time range.

5.3 Aṣayan iṣẹ

The bottom rotary switch selects one of the 10 available functions (A-J). Each function defines how the relay operates based on supply voltage (Un) and trigger input (S).

Functions Diagram for YCT8 Time Delay Relay (A-J)
Figure 7: Detailed functions diagram (A-J).
  1. A: On Delay (Power On)
Lori ohun elo ti input voltage Un, the relay is applied, timing delay t begins. Relay contacts R change state after time delay is complete. Contacts R return to their shelf state when input voltage Un is removed. Trigger switch S is not used in this function.
  2. B: External (Power On)
Nigbati titẹ sii voltage Un is applied, relay contacts R change state immediately and timing cycle begins. When time delay is complete, contacts return to shelf state. When input voltage Un is removed, contacts will also return to their shelf state. Trigger switch S is not used in this function.
  3. C: Repeat Cycle (Starting Off)
Nigbati titẹ sii voltage Un is applied, time delay t begins. When time delay t is complete, relay contacts R change state for time delay t. This cycle will repeat until input voltage Un is removed. Trigger switch S is not used in this function.
  4. D: Repeat Cycle (Starting On)
Nigbati titẹ sii voltage Un is applied, relay contacts R change state immediately and time delay t begins. When time delay t is complete, contacts return to their shelf state for time delay t. This cycle will repeat until input voltage Un is removed. Trigger switch S is not used in this function.
  5. E: Off Delay (S Break)
Iwọn titẹ siitage Un must be applied continuously. When trigger switch S is closed, relay contacts R change state immediately. When trigger switch S is opened, time delay t begins. When time delay t is complete, then time is reset. When trigger switch S is opened, the delay begins again, and relay contacts R remain in their energized state. If input voltage Un is removed, relay contacts R return to their shelf state.
  6. F: Single Shot
Lori ohun elo ti input voltage Un, the relay is ready to accept trigger signal S. Upon application of the trigger signal S, the relay contacts R transfer and the preset time t begins. During time-out the trigger signal S is ignored. The relay resets by applying the trigger switch S when the relay is not energized.
  7. G: Single Shot Trailing Edge (Non-Retriggerable)
Lori ohun elo ti input voltage Un, the relay is ready to accept trigger signal S. Upon application of the trigger signal S, the relay contacts R transfer and the preset time t begins. At the end of the preset time t, the relay contacts R return to their normal condition unless the trigger switch S is opened and closed prior to time out t (before preset time elapsed). Continuous cycling of the trigger switch S at a rate faster than the preset time t will cause the relay contacts R to remain closed. If input voltage Un is removed, relay contacts R return to their shelf state.
  8. H: On/Off Delay
Iwọn titẹ siitage Un must be applied continuously. When trigger switch S is closed, time delay t begins. When time delay t is complete, relay contacts R change state and remain transferred until trigger switch S is opened. If input voltage Un is removed, relay contacts R return to their shelf state.
  9. I: Latching Relay
Iwọn titẹ siitage Un must be applied continuously. Output changes state with every trigger switch S closure. If input voltage Un is removed, relay contacts R return to their shelf state.
  10. J: Pulse generator
Lori ohun elo ti input voltage Un, a single output pulse of 0.5 seconds is activated. If delay after time delay t. Power must be removed and re-applied to repeat pulse. Trigger switch S is not used in this function.

6. Itọju

The YCT8-M series time delay relay is designed for long-term, reliable operation with minimal maintenance. However, periodic checks are recommended:

  • Ensure the device is free from dust and debris. Use a soft, dry cloth for cleaning.

7. Laasigbotitusita

If the time delay relay is not functioning as expected, consider the following:

  • No Power Indication (Green LED Off):
    • Check the main power supply to terminals A1 and A2.
    • Rii daju pe ipese voltage is within the specified range (AC230V, -15% to +10%).
  • Output Not Activating (Red LED Off/Incorrect):
    • Verify the selected function (A-J) and ensure the trigger conditions (supply voltage, trigger S) are met.
    • Check the time range and percentage eto.
    • Inspect the load connected to the output terminals (15, 16, 18 or 25, 26, 28) for proper operation and current draw within specifications.
    • Ensure the trigger terminal 'S' is correctly wired and functioning for functions that require it.
  • Àkókò tí kò péye:
    • Confirm the time range and percentage settings are correctly configured.
    • Ensure the operating temperature is within the specified range.

If problems persist after checking these points, contact technical support.
