The Philips TAC-1279 Dash Cam is designed to provide high-definition video recording for your vehicle. It features a high-performance chip for clear video and seamless dynamic picture capture. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your device.
Key features include 4K front and 1080P rear dual camera recording, a 140° super wide-angle lens, a 1.66-inch IPS HD screen, G-sensor collision emergency latch, 24-hour parking monitoring, super night vision, loop recording, and a suction cup quick-release installation for easy transfer between vehicles.

2.2 Iṣagbesori Dash Cam
The dash cam features a suction cup quick-release installation. This allows for easy mounting and removal, making it convenient to move between multiple cars.

2.3 Connecting Power and Rear Camera
- Insert a Class 10 TF memory card (up to 128GB) into the TF card slot.
- Connect the power cord to the Type-C port on the dash cam and to your car's power source (e.g., cigarette lighter via car charger or directly to the car's electrical system via hardwire kit for parking mode).

- Route the rear camera cable neatly along the vehicle's interior to the rear windshield and mount the rear camera.

3.1 Main Interface and Indicators
The dash cam's main screen displays various icons indicating its status:
- Ipo Gbigbasilẹ: A red flashing video icon indicates normal recording. A yellow flashing icon indicates emergency mode recording.
- Aami GPS: Indicates GPS status (no icon: no GPS or not located; solid icon: GPS located).
- Aami Wi-Fi: Indicates Wi-Fi status (off or on).
- Dual-Route Status Flag: Indicates if only the front camera is detected or if both front and rear cameras are active.

Mute Button (Top Left)

Direction Keys (Bottom)
- Ṣaajuview Mode (Recording/No Recording): Short press to switch between front and rear camera views.
- Ṣaajuview Mode (No Recording): Tẹ gun lati tẹ ipo ṣiṣiṣẹsẹhin sii.
- Ipo Akojọ aṣyn: Press to navigate menu options.
- Ipo Sisisẹsẹhin: Short press to delete a file. Long press to delete permanently.
3.3 Sisisẹsẹhin Interface
To access recorded videos, click the "playback icon" on the main interface. By default, you will enter the video file interface for the front camera.
- Fidio Titiipa: Files protected from being overwritten.
- Ordinary Video: Standard recorded video files.
- Awọn fọto: Captured still images.
In playback mode, use the buttons to navigate, play/pause, and delete files.
3.4 Akojọ Eto
Access the settings menu by short pressing the Mute button when not recording. Settings are saved upon shutdown.
- Ipinnu: Adjust video resolution (4K, 2K, 1080P). Default is 2K.
- Iye akoko fidio: Set the length of each video file segment (1, 2, or 3 minutes). Default is 1 minute.
- Time-lapse Video Recording: Compresses time by capturing a series of photos or videos into a shorter time frame.
- Nọmba Awo iwe-aṣẹ: Set your vehicle's license plate number for evidence in traffic accidents.
- Video Audio: Toggle audio recording on/off.
- Aami omi akoko: Toggle time stamp on/off for video recordings.
- Ifamọ ikọlura: Adjust G-sensor sensitivity (off, low, medium, high). Default is high.
- Ipo gbigbe: Enable/disable 24-hour parking monitoring. When enabled, the recorder will continue to record after the car is turned off.
- Tiipa Aifọwọyi: Set the time for automatic shutdown (e.g., 1 minute, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, or off).
- Orun iboju: Set the screen backlight to turn off after a specified time (1, 3, 5 minutes, or off).
- Screen Saver Time/Selection: Configure screen saver duration and choose from 8 themes.
- Igbohunsafẹfẹ Orisun Imọlẹ: Set to 50Hz or 60Hz to suppress light flicker.
- Aworan Digi Tẹhin: Toggle mirror image display for the rear camera.
- Iwọn didun Agbọrọsọ: Adjust speaker volume (mute, low, medium, high).
- On and Off Sound: Toggle startup/shutdown sounds.
- Button Keys: Toggle button press sounds.
- Awọn ede: Select display language (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, etc.).

3.5 Iṣakoso ohun
The dash cam supports voice control for hands-free operation, enhancing driving safety and convenience. Common commands include "Take Picture" and "Open Recording."

The Philips Dash Cam can be connected to a mobile application for real-time viewing, playback, and management of recorded videos.

Use your mobile browser to scan the QR code below to download the official Philips Dash Cam app (available for Android and Apple devices).

4.2 Connecting to Wi-Fi and Starting the App
- Ensure the dash cam's Wi-Fi is turned on. By default, the dash cam's Wi-Fi is off. Long press the mute button on the dash cam to activate Wi-Fi.
- On your mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the dash cam's Wi-Fi network. The network name will typically be "SUNLINK-K05-XXXX" and the default password is "12345678".
- Open the Philips Dash Cam app on your mobile device.
- In the app, select the option to add a new recorder and follow the on-screen prompts to connect to your dash cam.
Akiyesi: If you need to operate the recorder directly (e.g., change settings), please turn off Wi-Fi on the dash cam by long pressing the mute button again.
4.3 App Preview Ni wiwo
The app's preview interface allows you to:
- View live video feed (front and rear).

5. Itọju
