4. Eto
- Fifi sori batiri: Locate the battery compartment on the back of the meter (refer to Figure 3.4). Open the cover and insert the required batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.

5.1. Measuring Ambient Light
- Incident Light Measurement: Extend the incident lumisphere (white dome) by sliding it into position. Point the lumisphere towards the light source from the subject's position. Press the measurement button to obtain a reading.
- Reflected Light Measurement (Spot): Retract the incident lumisphere. Aim the spot meter's lens at the specific area of the subject you wish to measure. The L-508 offers a zoom spot feature for precise targeting. Press the measurement button.
5.2. Measuring Flash Light
- Ipo Flash: Tẹ awọn Ipo button until the flash icon appears on the display.
- Filaṣi ẹyọkan: Position the meter (incident or spot mode) and trigger your flash unit. The meter will display the f-stop.
- Multiple Flash Cumulative: In flash mode, after the first flash reading, trigger subsequent flashes. The meter can accumulate up to 9 flashes, providing a combined exposure value.

The L-508 allows you to store up to three readings. After taking a measurement, press the Iranti button (refer to Figure 3.3) to save the value. You can recall these values for comparison or averaging.
6. Itọju
- Ninu: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the meter's body. For the display and lens, use a lens cleaning cloth and solution if necessary, avoiding abrasive materials.
- Ibi ipamọ: When not in use for extended periods, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store the meter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Rirọpo Batiri: Replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
