Follow these steps carefully to install your Intermatic EI215W timer. Ensure all safety precautions are observed.

- Turn off power at the circuit breaker and test that power is off before wiring.
- Remove the wall plate and disconnect the light switch. Make sure both 'hot' and 'neutral' wires are present in the junction box. If additional wiring is necessary, it must be completed before installation.
- Connect the black timer wire to the "hot" (usually black or red) wire in the junction box using a wire connector.
- Cut the white wire from the fixture using a wire connector. Connect the white timer wire to the neutral (white) wire in the junction box.
- If the wall switch you are replacing had separate grounding conductors connected to the GREEN screw on the switch, make sure to connect these to the green wire from the timer with a wire connector.

- Place all wires inside the junction box. Fit the timer into the junction box. Next, install the timer using the mounting screws furnished.
- Reconnect your electrical power.

To enter timer mode, press and release the push button (for less than 2 seconds) repeatedly to select one of the five time settings or OFF (15 minutes - 30 minutes - 60 minutes - 120 minutes - 240 minutes OFF). The illuminated LED indicators will show the time setting that is selected. The connected load will turn ON. The timer starts counting down until the time runs out, at which point all 5 LEDs will go off and the connected load will turn OFF.
To turn off the timer before the set time expires, repeatedly press the button until all LEDs are off. This will immediately turn off the connected load.
Itoju
The Intermatic EI215W timer requires minimal maintenance. Keep the device clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents. Ensure the wall plate is securely fastened. No user-serviceable parts are inside the unit.
