The ICOM IC-4300 is a compact and lightweight low-power transceiver designed for reliable short-range communication. It supports 47 channels and features a relay type function, making it suitable for various applications requiring clear and consistent voice transmission.

Observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury, electric shock, fire, or damage to the transceiver.
- Do not operate the transceiver in explosive atmospheres (e.g., near flammable gases, dust, or powders).
- Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the transceiver. Repairs should only be performed by qualified service personnel.
- Use only specified batteries and accessories. Incorrect battery types may cause explosion or leakage.
- Keep the transceiver away from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, and excessive moisture.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to the antenna when transmitting, as it may cause RF energy exposure beyond safe limits.
- Do not immerse the transceiver in water unless it is specifically rated for such use.

4. Eto

- Press the 'Monitor' button to temporarily open the squelch. This allows you to hear very weak signals or background noise on the current channel, which can be useful for checking channel activity.
- Release the 'Monitor' button to return to normal squelch operation.
5.5 Group Mode
- The 'Group' button is used to manage group communication settings. Refer to the full user manual for detailed instructions on setting up and using group codes (CTCSS/DCS tones) for private conversations within a larger group.
