-
1. Ge Agbara:
Before beginning any work, ensure the refrigeration unit is completely disconnected from its power source.
-
2. Remove Old Control (if applicable):
Carefully remove the existing cold control, noting the wiring connections and the placement of the capillary tube. Take photographs for reference if necessary.
-
3. Mount the New Control:
Use the provided mounting hardware and bracket to secure the Ranco K50Q-1127-001 control unit in the designated location. Ensure it is firmly attached.
-
4. Awọn isopọ onirin:
Connect the electrical wires to the terminals on the new control. Refer to the wiring diagram of your specific refrigeration unit for correct connections. The control features SPST contacts. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated.

-
5. Capillary Tube Placement:
The capillary tube is 47 1/4 inches long and is crucial for accurate temperature sensing. Carefully route the capillary tube to the area where temperature needs to be controlled. Avoid kinking or sharply bending the tube, as this can damage it and impair its function. The tip of the capillary tube should be securely fastened in the coldest part of the refrigerated compartment, typically near the evaporator coil, without touching it directly.
-
6. Install Faceplate and Knob:
Attach the provided faceplate and control knob. Ensure the knob aligns correctly with the control shaft and the temperature markings on the faceplate.
-
7. Mu Agbara pada:
Once all connections are secure and the unit is properly mounted, restore power to the refrigeration unit.

The Ranco K50Q-1127-001 cold control allows for temperature adjustment within a range of 34°F to 55°F.
-
1. Initial Setting:
Upon initial power-up, set the control knob to a mid-range setting (e.g., '4' or '5' if numbered 0-7) to allow the unit to stabilize.
-
2. Ṣatunṣe iwọn otutu:
Rotate the control knob to adjust the desired temperature. Turning the knob towards 'Colder' (or higher numbers) will decrease the temperature, while turning it towards 'Warmer' (or lower numbers) will increase the temperature. Allow several hours for the refrigeration unit to reach the new set point before making further adjustments.
-
3. Abojuto:
Use an independent thermometer to verify the actual temperature inside the refrigerated compartment. Adjust the control as needed to achieve and maintain the desired temperature.

If you experience issues with your refrigeration unit's temperature control, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
| Isoro | Owun to le Fa | Ojutu |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigeration unit not cooling | Control set too high; faulty wiring; damaged capillary tube; control failure. | Adjust control to a lower setting. Check wiring connections. Inspect capillary tube for damage. If issues persist, professional diagnosis may be required. |
| Refrigeration unit freezing contents | Control set too low; capillary tube improperly placed; control failure. | Adjust control to a higher setting. Verify capillary tube placement. If issues persist, professional diagnosis may be required. |
| Iwọn otutu n yipada ni ọpọlọpọ | Capillary tube not sensing correctly; control unit faulty. | Ensure capillary tube is properly positioned and undamaged. Consider professional inspection if fluctuations continue. |
For complex issues or if you are unsure about any troubleshooting steps, it is recommended to contact a qualified refrigeration technician.
