- Gather necessary tools: drill, spirit level, measuring tape, pencil, silicone gun, silicone sealant, screwdriver.
- Determine the desired side for installation (reversible for left or right hand opening).
- Mounting the Wall Channel:
- Position the wall channel vertically against the wall at the desired height, ensuring it is perfectly plumb using a spirit level. The wall channel width is 19.5mm.
- Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes in the wall channel.
- Drill holes into the wall, insert wall plugs.
- Secure the wall channel to the wall using the provided screws.
- Attaching the Bath Screen:
- With the help of a second person, carefully lift the bath screen assembly and slide its fixed panel into the mounted wall channel.
- Ensure the screen is level on the bath edge.
- Drill the necessary holes through the screen's fixed panel into the wall channel to secure it.
- Secure the screen to the wall channel with screws.
- Installing the Bottom Seal:
- Fit the plastic rubber bottom seal strip along the lower edge of the bath screen.
- Ensure it creates a tight seal with the bath rim.
- Sealing with Silicone:
- Apply a continuous bead of high-quality silicone sealant along the exterior joint where the wall channel meets the wall.
- Apply silicone along the exterior joint where the bottom seal meets the bath rim.
- Allow the silicone to cure completely (typically 24 hours) before using the shower.
- Lubrication:
- Apply the supplied silicone grease to the hinge mechanisms (cogs) of the folding panels to ensure smooth operation and prevent squeaking.
