This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your DIRECTV RC66X Universal Remote Control. 4.2. Programming the Remote for your DIRECTV Receiver
The RC66X remote is typically pre-programmed to control most DIRECTV receivers. If it does not work immediately, follow these steps:
- Point the remote at your DIRECTV receiver.

4.3. Programming the Remote for your Television

- If the TV does not turn off, repeat steps 2-4 with a different code for your TV brand.
Code Search Method (if you don't know your TV code):
