The Defiant single-cylinder security deadlatch lock is designed to provide secure access control. It features a 5-pin tumbler with hardened steel pins for enhanced security and a back latch mechanism to prevent accidental lockout. This lock is suitable for doors with a thickness ranging from 1-3/8 inches to 2-3/8 inches and is designed for easy installation with included fasteners.

Before you begin, ensure your door thickness is between 1-3/8 inches and 2-3/8 inches. Basic tools required include a Phillips head screwdriver, tape measure, and pencil.

- Install the Interior Thumb-Turn Mechanism: Position the interior thumb-turn mechanism on the inside of the door, aligning it with the exterior lock body and the deadlatch bolt.
