Before beginning installation, ensure your system is powered off and unplugged. Refer to your motherboard manual for specific CPU cooler mounting instructions if necessary.

  1. Mura modaboudu: Ensure the CPU is correctly seated in its socket. The Wraith Prism cooler comes with pre-applied thermal paste, so no additional paste is typically needed unless you choose to replace it.
  2. Gbe Itutu naa si: Align the cooler's retention clips with the mounting brackets on your motherboard. The cooler can be oriented to allow the AMD logo to be readable from the top-left, or as preferred.
  3. Ṣe aabo fun itutu naa: Attach one side of the cooler's retention clip to the motherboard bracket. Apply gentle, even pressure to the opposite side of the cooler while pushing down the second retention clip until it locks into place. Ensure the cooler is firmly seated and does not wobble.
  4. Connect the Fan Power: So okùn agbara afẹfẹ onipin mẹta lati inu itutu si ori akọle CPU_FAN lori modaboudu rẹ.
  5. Adjust Fan Speed Switch: Locate the H/L (High/Low) fan speed switch on the side of the cooler. Set it to 'H' for higher maximum RPMs and increased cooling performance, or 'L' for quieter operation. This should be done before installing other components that might obstruct access.
  6. Connect RGB Cables:
    • For motherboard RGB control: Connect the 4-pin RGB cable to a compatible 4-pin 12V RGB header on your motherboard.
    • For software RGB control (via AMD/Cooler Master software): Connect the USB 2.0 header cable to an available USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. Do not connect both the 4-pin RGB and USB 2.0 cables simultaneously for RGB control, as this can cause conflicts. Choose one method.

Isẹ

Once installed and connected, the AMD Wraith Prism cooler will automatically begin operating when your system powers on. The fan speed will adjust based on CPU temperature, managed by your motherboard's fan control settings or the selected fan profile (H/L switch).

Iṣakoso Imọlẹ RGB

The Wraith Prism features customizable RGB lighting. You have two primary options for controlling the lighting:

  • Sọfitiwia modaboudu: If you connected the 4-pin RGB cable to your motherboard, you can use your motherboard's proprietary RGB software (e.g., ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light, Gigabyte RGB Fusion) to synchronize and control the cooler's lighting with other system components.
  • AMD/Cooler Master Software: If you connected the USB 2.0 header cable, you can download and install the AMD Wraith Prism software (developed by Cooler Master) from the official AMD website. This software provides granular control over the cooler's RGB effects, including the fan, outer ring, and AMD logo. Note that using this software typically means the motherboard's RGB control will be overridden or disabled for the cooler.

Pataki: Do not connect both the 4-pin RGB cable and the USB 2.0 header cable for RGB control simultaneously. Choose one method to avoid potential conflicts or damage.

Itoju

Regular maintenance helps ensure optimal performance and longevity of your cooler.

  • Yiyọ eruku kuro: Periodically clean dust from the fan blades and heatsink fins using compressed air or a soft brush. Ensure the system is powered off before cleaning.
  • Lẹẹ igbona: The pre-applied thermal paste is designed for long-term use. If you need to remove and re-install the cooler, it is recommended to clean off the old thermal paste from both the CPU and cooler base and apply new thermal paste.
