Before playing, ensure all components listed below are present:

Ṣeto
- Assemble the Spinner: Carefully pop out the cardboard dial and attach it to the spinner base. Place the assembled spinner in the designated spot on the game board.
- Place the Game Board: Unfold the game board and place it on a flat playing surface.
- Ṣeto Awọn Irinṣe: Place the coins, stars, and cards in their designated spots in the game tray or near the board for easy access.
- Choose Characters: Each player selects one character mover (Mario, Luigi, Peach, or Yoshi) and places it on the START space.
- Awọn kaadi Daarapọmọra: Shuffle the Action, Minigame, Item, and Companion card decks separately and place them face down on their designated spots on the game board.
- Distribute Coins: Each player starts with 10 coins.

Ere Idi
The ultimate goal is to defeat Bowser. To do this, players must collect at least two stars before reaching Bowser's Castle and then spin a 12 or higher to win.
Player Turn Sequence
On your turn, follow these steps:
- Spin the Spinner: Spin the spinner and move your character the indicated number of spaces. You can move in any direction, but once you've chosen a direction, you may not change course until the board splits or you travel through a Pipe.
- Land on a Space: Check the instructions on the board space where you land for what to do.
- End Turn: Your turn ends. The player to your left spins next.
Board Spaces and Cards
Different spaces on the board trigger various actions or provide opportunities:
- Owo: Collect or lose the indicated amount of coins.
- Ise: Draw an Action card and do what it says.
- Minigame: Draw a Minigame card and battle it out! Examples include Rock Paper Scissors, Thumb Wars, and Spin-Offs.
- Nkan: Optional step. Draw an Item card and keep it to yourself. You can only have one Item at a time.
- Alabaṣepọ: Optional step. Draw two Companion cards, keep one, and place it face up. You can have a max of three at a time.
- Paipu: Optional step. Travel to the Pipe space of matching color. Your turn ends there.
- Ìràwọ̀: Stop immediately. Buy a star for 10 coins or collect 5 coins. Each star collected adds 1 point to your spin total when battling Bowser.
- Bowser's Castle: Battle Bowser! You must have at least two stars to fight. Spin 12+ to win!
