This manual provides important information for the safe and efficient operation of your Scheppach SC38 Electric Scarifier. Please read these instructions carefully before using the machine and keep them for future reference. The SC38 is a versatile 2-in-1 tool designed for both scarifying and aerating your lawn, promoting healthier growth and appearance.

2. Gbogbogbo Abo ilana

3.2 Scarifier Shaft
Equipped with 16 robust knives, this shaft is designed to effectively remove moss, thatch, and dead grass from your lawn, allowing air, water, and nutrients to penetrate the soil.

3.3 Aerator Shaft
This shaft features 36 metal claws (spring tines) that gently rake the lawn surface, removing light debris and stimulating grass growth without aggressive cutting.

3.4 Collection Bin
A large 45-liter collection bin is included to gather removed thatch and debris, ensuring a clean working area and reducing post-operation cleanup.
3.5 Handle and Controls
The ergonomic folding handle provides comfortable operation and allows for space-saving storage. It includes the power switch and safety lever.

4. Eto ati Apejọ
Follow these steps to assemble your SC38 Electric Scarifier before first use.
- Mu Apejọ: Attach the upper handle section to the lower handle section using the provided fasteners. Ensure all connections are secure. The handle is designed to fold for storage; ensure it is locked in the upright operating position.
- Collection Bin Attachment: Hook the 45-liter collection bin onto the rear of the scarifier chassis. Ensure it is securely seated to prevent debris from escaping.
- Shaft Installation:

- Open the flap at the rear of the machine.
- Carefully slide the desired shaft (scarifier or aerator) into its housing, aligning the drive mechanism.

Proper operation ensures effective lawn care and extends the life of your scarifier.
- Ṣiṣatunṣe Giga Ṣiṣẹ:
The SC38 features a central height adjustment with 5 positions, ranging from -12 mm to +6 mm. For scarifying, start with a higher setting and gradually lower it to avoid damaging the lawn. For aeration, a higher setting is generally sufficient.

Press and hold the safety button, then pull the operating lever towards the handle. The motor will start. Release the safety button but keep the operating lever held to continue running the machine.

Release the operating lever. The motor will stop automatically.
- Scarifying/Aerating Techniques:
- Work in straight, overlapping lines across your lawn.
- Avoid operating on excessively wet or dry lawns. Slightly moist soil is ideal.
- For scarifying, it is often beneficial to make two passes, the second perpendicular to the first, for thorough removal of thatch.
- The SC38 is designed for areas up to 700 m² with a working width of 38 cm.

- Emptying the Collection Bin:
Regularly check and empty the 45-liter collection bin to maintain optimal performance and prevent clogging. Always stop the machine and disconnect power before removing the bin.

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your scarifier.
- Ninu: After each use, disconnect the power and clean the machine. Remove any grass, soil, or debris from the housing, shafts, and wheels. Do not use water jets or high-pressure cleaners. Use a brush or cloth.
- Shaft Inspection and Replacement: Regularly inspect the scarifier knives and aerator tines for wear or damage. Worn or damaged shafts should be replaced immediately. Refer to the "Shaft Installation" section for removal and replacement.
