Before first use, ensure your Roomba j9+ and Clean Base are placed in an area with good Wi-Fi coverage and free from clutter. Plug in the Clean Base and allow the robot to fully charge.
1. Place the Clean Base: Choose a location with good Wi-Fi signal, on a hard, level surface, and with at least 1.5 feet of clear space on either side and 4 feet in front.
2. Charge the Robot: Place the Roomba j9+ onto the Clean Base. The robot will automatically align itself for charging. Allow it to fully charge before its first cleaning mission.
3. Download the iRobot Home App: Download the iRobot Home app from your device's app store. Follow the in-app instructions to connect your robot to your home Wi-Fi network and complete the setup process. This app is crucial for smart mapping, scheduling, and accessing advanced features.
