The Humminbird PIRANHAMAX 4 is a compact fish finder designed to provide clear underwater views. It features a 4.3-inch color LCD display and an intuitive interface for easy operation. This unit utilizes Dual Beam Sonar and, in specific models, Down Imaging technology to help identify fish, structure, and contours beneath your boat.

The Humminbird AD XTM 9 Trolling Motor Adapter is designed to facilitate the mounting of XNT series transom-mount transducers onto a trolling motor. This adapter ensures secure placement and optimal performance of your transducer in a trolling motor application.

3.1 Ibamu

4.1 PIRANHAMAX 4 Fish Finder Installation
The PIRANHAMAX 4 unit typically mounts to a flat surface using its included tilt and swivel mount. Ensure the mounting location is secure, provides good visibility, and allows for easy access to controls. Connect the power cable to a 12V DC power source and the transducer cable to the unit's appropriate port.

4.2 AD XTM 9 Trolling Motor Adapter Installation
This adapter allows you to mount your compatible transom-mount transducer to the shaft of your trolling motor. This provides a clear, unobstructed view of the water directly in front of and below your trolling motor.
- Attach Transducer to Bracket: Secure your XNT series transducer to the adapter's mounting bracket using the provided hardware.
- Position on Trolling Motor: Place the bracket assembly onto the shaft of your trolling motor. Ensure the transducer is oriented correctly for optimal sonar performance (typically facing forward or downward).

5. Operating the PIRANHAMAX 4 Fish Finder

- Down Imaging: If your model supports Down Imaging, select this view from the main menu. Down Imaging provides a detailed, photographic-like image of structure and fish directly below your boat.
- Fish ID+: This feature interprets sonar returns and displays fish icons on the screen. Adjust sensitivity in the sonar menu.
- Sun-un: Use the arrow buttons to zoom in on specific depth ranges for a more detailed view of targets.
