Follow these steps to set up your record player for the first time.

- Carefully place the platter onto the center spindle.
- Locate the drive belt (usually pre-installed under the platter or in the packaging).
- If not pre-installed, gently stretch the drive belt around the motor pulley and the inner rim of the platter. Ensure the belt is flat and not twisted.
2. Cartridge and Stylus
The 1byone LP03A comes with a pre-installed Audio-Technica AT-3600L magnetic cartridge. Ensure the stylus guard is removed before playback.

3. Tonearm Balance and Tracking Force Adjustment
Properly balancing the tonearm and setting the tracking force is crucial for optimal sound quality and to prevent damage to your records and stylus.

- Zero Balance the Tonearm:
- Place the record player on a level surface.

- Lower the tonearm lift lever.
- Gently release the tonearm clamp.
- Rotate the counterweight at the rear of the tonearm until the tonearm is perfectly balanced horizontally, floating freely.
- Set Tracking Force:
- Once balanced, hold the counterweight steady with one hand and rotate only the numbered ring on the front of the counterweight until '0' aligns with the center line on the tonearm.
- Rotate the entire counterweight (including the numbered ring) counter-clockwise until the desired tracking force is reached. For the AT-3600L cartridge, the recommended tracking force is typically 3.5 grams.
4. Anti-skate Adjustment
The anti-skate mechanism prevents the tonearm from being pulled towards the center of the record. Attach the anti-skate weight's loop to the second groove of the anti-skate post for the recommended setting.
5. Dust Cover Installation
Insert the hinges of the dust cover into the corresponding slots on the rear of the record player.

Connect the power adapter to the DC IN 12V port on the rear panel of the record player, then plug it into a wall outlet.

- Adjust volume from both the record player and the external device.
