- Peel off the protective film from one side of the 3M adhesive pad and attach it firmly to the back of the magnetic mounting plate.
- Peel off the protective film from the other side of the 3M adhesive pad and press the magnetic mounting plate firmly onto the chosen ceiling or wall location for at least 30 seconds.
- Align the smoke detector with the magnetic mounting plate and attach it. The magnets will hold the detector securely in place.

- Press the central test/mute button once.
- The alarm will be silenced for approximately 10 minutes. The LED will continue to flash every 10 seconds during this period.
- After the mute period, if smoke is still detected, the alarm will reactivate.
