The Fluke 107 has three recessed banana jacks:
- A: For current measurements (up to 10A).
- COM: Common terminal for all measurements (black test lead).
- VΩHz: Fún ìdìpọ̀tage, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and diode tests (red test lead).
Always connect the black test lead to the COM jack. Connect the red test lead to the appropriate jack based on the measurement you intend to perform.
Using the Smart Strap Magnetic Lanyard
The included Smart Strap allows for hands-free operation by attaching the meter to a ferrous metal surface or by configuring it as a stand. The strap has a slot that fits into the meter's case and secures with Velcro. The magnetic end can then be used to attach the meter to metal surfaces or to itself to form a viewiduro ing.

The Fluke 107 features a central rotary selector knob and three soft-touch buttons:
- Rotari Selector koko: Used to select the desired measurement function (OFF, AC Volts, DC Volts, AC mV, Ohms/Continuity/Diode, Capacitance, AC/DC Amps).
- Bọtini MU: Freezes the current reading on the display. Press again to resume live readings.
- Hz % Button: Toggles between frequency (Hz) and duty cycle (%) display when measuring AC Volts or AC Amps.
- Yellow Function Button:
- In AC/DC Amps mode: Toggles between AC and DC current measurement.
- In Ohms mode: Toggles between resistance, continuity test, and diode test.
- Bọtini ina afẹyinti: Activates or deactivates the display backlight. The backlight automatically turns off after 2 minutes of inactivity, but this can be overridden.

The meter is auto-ranging by default for most functions, simplifying operation.
- Voltage Wiwọn (AC/DC):
- Yipada bọtini Rotari si V~ fun AC voltage tabi V- fun DC voltage.
- Connect the red test lead to the VΩHz jack and the black test lead to the COM jack.
- Apply the test probes across the circuit or component to measure voltage.
- Current Measurement (AC/DC):
- Yipada bọtini Rotari si A~ (AC) or A- (DC). Use the yellow button to toggle between AC and DC if needed.
- Connect the red test lead to the A (10A FUSED) jack and the black test lead to the COM jack.
- Pataki: Connect the meter in series with the circuit to measure current. Ensure the circuit is de-energized before connecting the meter.
- Wiwọn Atako (Ω):
- Yipada bọtini Rotari si Ω.
- Connect the red test lead to the VΩHz jack and the black test lead to the COM jack.
- Apply the test probes across the component. Ensure the circuit is de-energized.
- Igbeyewo Ilọsiwaju:
- Yipada bọtini Rotari si Ω. Press the yellow button until the continuity icon (speaker symbol) appears.
- Connect the red test lead to the VΩHz jack and the black test lead to the COM jack.
- A continuous beep indicates a complete circuit (resistance less than 70Ω). "OL" indicates an open circuit.
- Idanwo Diode:
- Yipada bọtini Rotari si Ω. Press the yellow button until the diode icon (arrow with line) appears.
- Connect the red test lead to the VΩHz jack and the black test lead to the COM jack.
- Place the red probe on the anode and black probe on the cathode of the diode. The display shows the forward voltage drop. Reverse the probes; "OL" should be displayed for a good diode.
- Iwọn Iwọn agbara:
- Turn the rotary knob to the capacitance symbol (-||-).
- Connect the red test lead to the VΩHz jack and the black test lead to the COM jack.
- Pataki: Discharge capacitors before connecting them to the meter. Apply probes across the capacitor. Readings may take up to 18 seconds to stabilize.
- Frequency (Hz) and Duty Cycle (%) Measurement:
- Select AC Volts or AC Amps iṣẹ.
- Tẹ awọn Hz% button to display frequency. Press again for duty cycle. Press a third time to return to voltage/current display.

Fuse Check and Replacement
The Fluke 107 has a single internal fuse for the Amps function. To check the fuse:
- Yipada yiyan si awọn Ω ipo.
- Plug the red test lead into the VΩHz jack.
- Insert the probe tip of the red test lead into the A (10A FUSED) jack until electrical contact is made.
- A reading of less than 0.5Ω indicates a good fuse. An "OL" reading indicates a blown fuse that requires replacement.
Fuse replacement requires opening the meter case by removing three screws. It is recommended that fuse replacement be performed by qualified personnel or a Fluke service center.
