5. Apejọ ati Oṣo
The SUNPOW OT-MD15 Metal Detector features a tool-free assembly process, allowing for quick setup.
- So Okun Iwadi naa: Secure the 11-inch Dual-D search coil to the lower stem using the provided non-metallic bolt and wing nut. Ensure it is firmly attached but do not overtighten.
- So Awọn Apa Ọpa pọ: Insert the lower stem into the middle stem, and then the middle stem into the upper stem (which includes the control unit and armrest).
- Ṣatunṣe Gigun Ọpa: Loosen the locking collars on the shaft. Adjust the length of the shaft to a comfortable position, typically where the search coil can be swept parallel to the ground while standing upright. The shaft can extend from 19 inches to 51 inches. Once adjusted, tighten the locking collars to secure the length.
- Ṣe aabo USB naa: Wrap the search coil cable snugly around the shaft, ensuring it is not loose or dangling. Plug the coil connector into the corresponding port on the control unit.
- Adjust Armrest: Position the armrest for comfortable use, providing support during extended detection sessions.

6. Awọn ilana Iṣiṣẹ
The SUNPOW OT-MD15 offers four distinct search modes and adjustable sensitivity for optimal performance.
6.1 Agbara Tan / Pa
Press and hold the power button on the control unit to turn the detector on or off.
6.2 Atunse ifamọ
Use the 'SENS' button to adjust the sensitivity level. Higher sensitivity increases detection depth but may also increase false signals in highly mineralized ground. Start with a moderate setting and adjust as needed.
6.3 Search Modes
The detector features four professional search modes:
- All Metal (AM) Mode: Detects all types of metal objects. This mode offers the greatest depth and is ideal for general searching when you want to find any metal.
- Discrimination (Disc) Mode: Allows you to eliminate unwanted metal types (junk metals) from detection. Use the 'DISC' button to adjust the discrimination level, focusing on specific target types like coins or jewelry.
- Ipo ogbontarigi: Similar to Discrimination, but allows for specific rejection of certain metal categories while accepting others. This provides more precise control over target identification.
- Ipo Pinpoint (PP): Once a target is detected, switch to Pinpoint mode to accurately locate the exact position of the buried object. This mode helps reduce digging time and effort.

7. Battery Charging and Care
The SUNPOW OT-MD15 is equipped with a built-in 2500mAh rechargeable lithium battery.
- Gbigba agbara: Connect the provided USB charging cable to the charging port on the control unit and plug the other end into a standard USB power adapter (not included) or a computer USB port. The charging indicator will show the charging status.
- Igbesi aye batiri: A full charge provides approximately 35 hours of operation.
- Ibi ipamọ: For long-term storage, ensure the battery is charged to about 50-70% to maintain battery health. Recharge every 3-6 months if not in use.
- Yago fun Sisọjade-ju: Do not allow the battery to completely drain frequently, as this can reduce its lifespan.
