  3. Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the PoE port on the included PoE Power Adapter or a compatible PoE switch.

In AP mode, the device converts a wired network connection into a wireless one, acting as a central hub for Wi-Fi devices. This is ideal for creating a new wireless network or adding Wi-Fi capabilities to an existing wired network.
