Use angular split-face sauna stones, such as peridotite or olivine-dolerite, with a diameter of 5–10 cm. Do not use light, porous ceramic stones or soft soapstones, as they can damage the heating elements.
Sauna stones disintegrate over time due to temperature variations. It is recommended to rearrange them at least once a year and replace any disintegrated stones to maintain optimal airflow and heating efficiency.
It is normal for a new heater and stones to emit a smell during the first use. This is due to protective agents burning off. Ensure the sauna room is efficiently ventilated during the initial heating.
