Try going to SETTINGS, then GENERAL, then KEYBOARDS, then ENGLISH, then select keyboard type. There are three different ones for me, QWERTY (select this one), AZERTY, AND QWERTZ. It looks like this, if not selected correctly, might switch your Y and Z keys. Not sure, I'm a newbie at this, but it's worth a try.
